This is a compact offline clay sculpture course, which is delivered on a one-to-one basis i.e. one teacher per student. This course is specifically designed for kids (age 7+) and adults, who want to pursue sculpture as a hobby. After completing this course, you will be able to sculpt portraits from your memory, using clay.

This course is specifically tailored for an individual requirement and delivered on a one-to-one basis i.e. 1:1 student: teacher ratio using a unique and proven 4C methodology that accelerates the learning process to 70% to 80% faster, reduces the learning curve,  decreases the time-lines and improves the retention, with over 99% success rate!

 

Objective

To create clay sculpture portraits, from imagination, without using a referring picture.

Audience

Professionals, hobbyists, business executives, housewives, and kids age 7+.

Scope

  1. Medium: Clay.
  2. Sketch, drawing, and shading fundamentals: Clay, drawing and shading tools, techniques, and methods, source of light, the concept of light & shadow, cast shadow, form shading (mid tone, high lights & dark tone), and direction of the gradation.
  3. Face study: Eyes, nose, lips, hair, face profile from the front as well as side pose.
  4. Sculpturing: Armature for sculpting a head, eye, nose, lips, ear, hair, and face profile.

Duration

Approximately 8 hours of classroom time, which is covered in 1 day

Classroom

1 session for 8+ hours, at a mutually agreed day and time.

Home Assignments & Doubt Clearing Sessions

The home assignments and the related reference pictures will be shared after each classroom session. Home assignments and self-practice are critical for the success of the course and will tentatively consume triple the classroom time.
